Where can we go to recycle?

The HoTT Recycle Directory
This Directory provides details of what household wastes can be recycled and where, particularly for those wastes that Kirklees Council will not accept in their Green Bin collection service.
The Directory also has information on websites where residents can update this information, including updates of this directory on HoTT website. The Directory can be viewed on line or downloaded and printed as a 16 page A5 sized booklet

Fairtrader is now only taking the following items:
- Foil including pill packs
- Working sewing machines – N.B. Old broken sewing machines can be taken to CART off Summer St, Lockwood Rd, Lockwood, Huddersfield HD1 3QB, where they are sent to Africa to be used for parts

If you want to recycle yourself:
Foil can be taken to JB Schofield & Sons Greenhead, Linthwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5TS. He will take any amount within reason but at least 1 black bin bag full
