Solar Panels take family one step closer to being self-sufficient in Holmbridge

Physics teacher Matthew decided in the Summer of 2021 that he wanted to stop thinking and start doing something to make a difference to climate change. Having researched several options, he decided to install solar panels.

Why Solar Panels?

Mathew had been discussing the idea of investing in climate change solutions with his friends for a few months as his home is heated by burning solid fuel it has a large carbon footprint. His location on the edge of Holmbridge means he has no access to a gas supply and his home is an old house which currently isn’t as energy efficient as a new build house. Matthew’s home had already had some energy improvements as it was fitted with double glazing and he added loft insulation to add to his energy reduction.
